Tim’s internet setup is working well, and we were able to grab his live show on Saturday, March 7, 2009, directly from the internet source used to feed WBCQ. After his hour on the Planet, he remained on the internet for about 90 minutes and presented Internet Timtron Worldwide.

David Gans reminds us to tune into the annual Grateful Dead Marathon on KPFA 94.1 Berkeley on Saturday from 10AM to 1PM Pacific time (1PM to 4AM eastern time). There promises to be some interesting music, including a couple of rare concert soundboards from 1976 and 1977. The marathon will be webcast on nugs.net, gdradio.net, kpfa.org, and kfcf.org.

Tonight on the Voice of the Sizzling Capon segment on Area 51, we instead were surprised to hear something that can be described only as Kracker’s Boiled Nuts. This madness happened at 7:30PM eastern time on WBCQ 5.110 MHz shortwave.

We had an outpouring of interest last night on the Lumpy Gravy Radio Show on Area 51 when we played a catchy little ditty called God Will Fuck You Up, attributed to a group called I Shit You Not. We found this amazing track on April Winchell‘s wonderful audio page, which we highly recommend.
The Bowling League recommended to Brother Scare to use this as a theme song, replacing all that awful, scary music he plays on his broadcasts.

Fans of the Vocie of Zappa, normally heard at this time on Area 51, do not fear. On January 31 at 7PM eastern time, immediately following the return of Lost Discs, The Lumpy Gravy Radio Show, will feature a very Zappa-filled hour of entertainment.

Our friend Guy Paganus has outdone himself again, and has produced a special two hour 2008 holiday special exclusively for Area 51. You may remember him as Voice of the Abnormal, or maybe not. This is very cool, so we’re releasing it for mass consumption before we air it on WBCQ. Enjoy.
