The Captain’s been busy this month.
Got another RFE show completed done more in the newer style with more of the heavier production work I’ve been doing the past ten or so years. Had to do one again this way too as my influences’ styles are fun to try to duplicate and blend into my own. Oh man radio shows are so fun to do and I am really getting back into it again. Next the Maharishi will get back to production on his new show as well so maybe in another week or so it might be ready if he doesn’t get distracted by all the harem women, drugs, and goats. PMLOL!
As usual… enjoy listening and if you have a transmitter then please feel free to relay it all you like. I have plenty of time to work on brand new eQSL art and am more than happy to email those out as verifications. Also thanks very much to all the cool pirates with the transmitters that relay this stuff for me. I really do appreciate it. You guys rock.. pirates and listeners as well.
Here’s another fresh Radio Free Euphoria for your hempy listening enjoyment:

From our pal Captain Ganja:
Man this one reminds me of the older original RFE with only a few soundbytes, way more actual hosting, and of course plenty of my favorite music. Nice to have it this way for a change rather than with all the outside influences I was trying to duplicate when I first learned how to use Cool Edit Pro in late 2000. Now it is more like my original version except for a lack of evil tape hiss like in the cassette days. Yes, this RFE is mostly like the layed back organiic homegrown humorous style as it was back in the 90s. Enjoy!
Here it is:

The last remaining piles of snow from the Blizzards of 2010 were rapidly melting in Kulpsville this year, with near perfect weather being the backdrop for the the 23rd annual SWL Winterfest.
This year’s Fest was a most interesting event. The forums we attended were, as usual, of the highest quality. The fest hotel, as always, presented some jamba; in fact, there were a lot of strange and anomalous events at this year’s event. For example, WBCQ 5.110 had a transmitter issue on Saturday and none of our marathon six hour free form mix made it to air. Other strange things were reported, such as local fest transmitter problems (if one were to know of such things), dead batteries, exploding Audacity files, busted cameras and minidisc recorders, broken down ice machines and elevators, and the attempt by some fest participants to mix Utz Crab Chips with guacamole dip. This may be the last year the Fest is held at the Best Western Towamencin; the location for next year’s event is undermined at this time.
We managed to see the big raffle at the end of the Fest proceedings. Lots of cool prizes and several radios were handed out by Jay Smilkstein, president of the North American Shortwave Association.
Here’s our collection of audio from the Fest weekend:
- Live from room 407 at the Winterfest, Friday, March 5, 2010, 6PM: Includes the Pirate Radio Forum hosted by George Zeller, recorded earlier in the day. Live off-air sampling of a strange station on 6925 am follows the Pirate Forum recording. (mp3) (alternate recording of the Pirate Forum here via Ragnar)
- Allan Weiner Worldwide, Friday, March 5, 2010, 8PM. Allan wasn’t at the Fest this year, but we did call in and give him an update. (mp3)
- Live from room 407 at the Winterfest, Saturday March 6, 2010, 6PM, with Cosmikdebris, Jane, Kracker, Sycko, and various guests and dignitaries. Over six hours of free form madness. (part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6)
- The Voice of Pancho Villa : Pancho Tunes Around, Saturday, March 6, 2010, midnight (mp3)
